The three levels. Level 1, AI-assisted: people use rented AI tools and nothing persists. Level 2, AI-operated: the workflows at the bottleneck run on AI, but every model change resets the gain. Level 3, AI Forward: decisions are recorded, tested and fed back in systems the company owns, so it gets better with every model release.

What does the scorecard measure?

Two things: whether your AI is pointed at your bottleneck, and whether anything persists when the model changes (records of decisions, tests built from real cases, a named owner for overrides). Those decide whether AI compounds for you or resets with every release.

Is this the same as an AI readiness assessment?
